GIMP 2.10.8 の 足音

いよいよ　GIMP 2.10.8 の お出まし の様です。
でも、今回は、少し、様相が違う 気もしています。
何れにしても、
近々、　これ が登場するのは 間違いなさそう ですね。


2018/09/28 付けで 公式に GIMP 2.10.8 の文字が見ええる様になって来ました。

GIMP 2.10.8 is mostly a bug fix and optimization release. In particular, it includes:

とある（バグ修正と最適化）ので、　細かな調整を受けたものが出て来るのでしょうね。



発見したのが、上記コミットの １週間程、後なのですが、
公式サイトに、未だ、動きはありません。


のんびりと、期待しながら、待つ事にしましょうか。

Fun under-the-hood changes in GIMP: a simple form of cooperative multitasking among async operations is now possible. Time-consuming operations can now yield execution in favor of other same-priority operations, thus higher-priority operations would avoid priority inversion.

内部変更によって、時間の掛かる操作を優先処理出来る様になる見たいですね。
深部も含めて調整に取り組んでいる成果なのでしょう。
これが、2.10.8 の登場を遅くしている原因のひとつかも知れません。
焦らず、気長に、　その登場を待つ事にしましょう！。

2018/11/08 付けで GMP 2.10.8 の ソースコード 及び OSX 用 が公開されています。

Note: the currently available package provides GIMP 2.10.6 and has not yet been updated to the latest version, GIMP 2.10.8. We're working on it, please check back later. 

Windows 用 は もう少し待ってね！　です。
